This is almost an essential in any playlist I put together for dancing. It has everything I need in a song. Break beats, black girls rappin’, funky guitar and synth.
#2 Bboy underground (Long Version) by DIGIKID84
French electronic with a twist of old skool tape deck jammin’ cardboard funkin’.
#3 Things by Joe Walsh
Do you know who Joe Walsh is? Do you really give a fuck? Yeah neither do I. This is a slow-paced “ahead-of-its-time” songs.
#4 Daftendirekt by Daft Punk
Fucking awesome intro, in my opinion. From their greatest album, this song just keeps building off every new element that does NOT disappoint.
#5 Lotus Suite Koln by Mr. Oizo
Non-radio friendly Oizo with incomprehensible French yelling and button zapping.
#6 How Could You by Francis and the Lights
This song is amazing to have sex to. Period.
#7 In Love With You by Alan Braxe and Friends
This has been in my top ten for about a year now, and I don’t see it really going anywhere. Beautiful piano, vocals, chorus, lyrics….it’s all just too good to be true. Impossible to top (sorry Braxe), yet I do not think I will grow tired of listening to this tune.
#8 Until We Die by Max Tundra
Do you know Max Tundra? Do you know he DJ’s over at the BBC? Do you know he remixes songs? He also makes music? He also tours? He also does ALL THIS SHIT AT THE SAME TIME. I feel this song explains Mr. Tundra in the best way possible. Great keyboard riffs and a cutesy little sing-a-long.
#9 Don’t Matter by Jensen Sportag
Been a fan of them a long time, just by listening to stray mp3’s I found randomly online, but when I finally picked up a copy of their self-titled album, I knew this was the winner track of the CD….includes Mike Jones and some country folk!
#10 Walk Into Flowers (Jackson Midnight Fuck Remix) by M83
Best M83 remix I’ve ever heard. Ever.
